About the Foundation

The FOA Foundation was established in 1989 with a $1.5 million dollar donation from the Festival of Arts. The FOA Foundation holds these funds in a permanent endowment and the income and earnings are annually awarded to nonprofit art organizations and educational institutions in and around the city of Laguna Beach.

The Festival of Arts awards art scholarships to graduating high school students residing in Laguna Beach or attending Laguna Beach High School.

The FOA Foundation operates independently from the Festival of Arts, and is governed by its own board of trustees who oversees and administers the program.
